SANY America manufactures, sells and supports construction and material handling equipment, including crawler cranes, rough terrain cranes, excavators, container reach stackers and empty container handlers. The company handles SANY brand equipment sales and support in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America.
SANY America's headquarters in Peachtree City, Georgia includes 340,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 60,000 square feet of office space. Excavators are assembled at the facility, which has the capacity to produce more than 2,000 units per year. The first excavator rolled off the production line in February 2012. During the manufacturing process, SANY America takes base excavator kits or complete excavators from China and adds features valued by North American customers, such as a joystick pattern change valve, two way hydraulic flow for attachments and a premium seat for the cab. In addition to assembly, the Peachtree City facility does machine testing, touch up paint and distribution.
SANY is the world's sixth-largest manufacturer of construction equipment as ranked by International Construction magazine. In 2011, SANY sold $7.9 billion worth of construction equipment to earn the No. 6 spot on the magazine's Yellow Table rankings. With total 2011 sales of nearly $13 billion and market capitalization of $21 billion, SANY ranks on the Financial Times Global 500 list.
